The River Restaurant & Lounge in Lounge El Portal

Below average overall. The food had little taste and it was all overpriced. A bottle of beer was also overpriced for me. Loved their motel, however!

One of my go-to spots to grab something to eat. excellent location, neat, and fantastic customer service. I recommend this place!

Very friendly and good food. Soups are fantastic. Can. E a bit pricey but that's to be expected near Yosemite.

Nice views! Decent food

Came in for breakfast at 7am on a Monday. The only option they had was buffet at $18. It was decent, but we hope they'd offered more choices

The customer service is consistently swift, great character, very friendly employees. I will return again when I am in town.

Very well organised and accessible spot. They offer big meals and for affordable prices. We loved the meals a lot and the staff members were very affable and chatty. Highly recommended.

Overpriced. The food was alright but I don’t think it was worth the cost. The mashed potatoes were the best component of the food.

I really wanted to give this a 5 star. It's a nice place to stay, but like anything near a national park, overpriced. Sad that it puts staying near national treasures out of the reach of many American families.

Of course meals were delicious here. Really good pesto pasta with chicken, fish and chips. Unlimited salad and soup for each meal ordered. Restaurant times are limited and can get full quickly. Try to get there when they open for dinner at 5:30pm. Way way way way pricey. This lodge should a few affordable food places built cafeteria style to accommodate large numbers of tourists instead of a fancy pricey restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Other places to eat are more than 30 min drive from here. So bring meals and snack with you or be prepared to drive far distance for each meal or pay insane amounts at river restaurant.

Decent place to grab a quick bite while just outside Yosemite. The pizzas we got seemed underdone though.

It's got good food. The other choice is pizza or an hour drive. Nice place after a day of hiking in Yosemite.

I don't know why this restaurant has a very small rating(2,7)? Yes, maybe it is not the best one, but it has an amazing location, a beautiful view to a river and a normal price.The waiter was very friendly and fast. food may be is not very delicious. My rating is: food-3⭐️, waiter-5⭐️,location-5⭐️
